Ripple is Microsoft Windows based program designed to aid in the collection and analysis of topographic images sequences. Topography is the high resolution imaging of an individual diffraction spot. When done correctly this type of imagery can provide a detailed view of the internal organization of a crystal.
Ripple provides simple positioning of the topography detector by simply clicking the desired location on the coarse diffraction data image after the two detectors have been registered based on the direct beam positions.
Ripple allows simple sequential and spatial characterization of topographic sequences. It can create scripts that can be executed in Matlab to produce detailed analysis of the data.
The experimental setup section provides more details about the geometry and required components.
