beamish.ini File

Purpose

The purpose of the beamish.ini file is to provide information important to the functioning of BEAM-ish but that is independent of project information.  This file needs to be able to be modified by current user.  This file is generated automatically by BEAM-ish and maintained by BEAM-ish.  It is stored in the location specified by the BEAMISH environment variable.

Format

The file is in a standard windows ini format.  With sections enclosed by [] and parameter name value pairs separated by an equals sign.  It is a text file and can be view with any text editor.

Sections

[Beamish]

This section provides the executable names that BEAM-ish will map programs to internally.

[Sockets]

This section provides information BEAM-ish needs to locate and use sockets for its implementation of IPC.

[RecentFiles]

This section provides a list of recently opened projects that are available on the project menu
